Aprils 'Star of the month'

This month we would like to recognise the achievements of Grace.  Grace was nominated by her Independent Reviewing Officer Niaz Fatima.

"Grace has had a number of changes in the last few years, including a few placement moves. As you can imagine, this is difficult for any young person to cope with. Grace has coped remarkably well, under difficult circumstances. Throughout this period, Grace has remained steadfast in her devotion to her education. Grace has 100% attendance and is described as a model pupil by the teaching staff. Grace has a great relationship with the staff.

Grace is above track for most of the subjects. School are really keen for Grace to remain with them for sixth form. Grace produces work at grades 7, 8, and 9 (9 being the highest).

The Safeguarding Lead stated that they are all proud of Grace; she focuses on her work; all the staff are full of praise.  During PHSE in school last year where the topic was adoption, Grace agreed to talk about her experience of the care system. The Safeguarding Lead said that the other young people really appreciated her willingness to share personal information.
