Have Your Say – Help Shape Leadership for the Future!

The North-West Multi-Agency Safeguarding team have an exciting opportunity for young people (aged 8–25), parents and carers to share their ideas and make a real difference!

What’s Happening?

Working with the College of Policing, this national project will help design a new course for senior leaders in policing, schools, health, social care and community services. The goal? To make sure leaders work together better and improve outcomes for children, young people and families.

Why You?

Your voice matters! They want to know:

  • What does good leadership feel like to you?
  • How do leaders build trust?
  • What do families need from the people who run services?
  • How should leaders listen and communicate with children, young people and parents?

What Will You Do?

Join one of the fun, youth-friendly sessions. They’re safe, informal and packed with creative games like:

  • Spin to Win – Leadership Challenge
  • Emoji Lab
  • Would You Rather?

Sessions last 30–45 minutes, and you can join online or in person. They can even fit them into your usual group activities.

What’s In It For You?

Every participant gets a £30 Amazon voucher as a thank you for your time and ideas.
(You just need to take part in at least one of the games.)

Who Can Join?

  • Young people aged 8–25 (schools, youth groups, colleges, forums)
  • Parents and carers (including SEND parents)
  • Families who prefer small group or 1:1 sessions

People from all backgrounds and experiences are welcome – your views will help shape something important at a national level.

Safety First

  • Under-16s need a parent/carer or support worker present
  • No personal case details are shared
  • Everything is anonymous
  • All safeguarding rules will be followed

Why It Matters

Your ideas will help create a Leadership Behaviours Framework that will guide senior leaders across the country. This is your chance to influence decision-makers at the highest level!
