Care Leaver Social Work Assessor Role
Approach Social Work Care-Experienced Assessor Role
Deadline for applications is Monday 28 July
The Selection team at Frontline are excited to offer a paid opportunity to young people who have experience of care to work with them at their assessment centres. This is a great opportunity for young people to get involved in recruiting future social workers for Approach Social Work, formerly known as the Frontline programme. Care-experienced assessors (CEAs) must be aged 18 or older.
They are looking to recruit Care-Experienced Assessors (CEAs) to join them from October 2025 until May 2026. The assessment centres will be virtual on a video conferencing platform. To apply for this role, they ask that you have access to a laptop or PC with a stable internet connection. Please contact Wirral's Participation and Engagement Service if you would like to apply and need help with this.
As a CEA, you will interview candidates who want to be child protection social workers as part of Approach Social Work, alongside a social work assessor. This activity is an important part of the wider assessment day and gives the CEA an opportunity to ask questions relating to the candidate’s motivation and their experience to ensure they select the best people to work with families, children, and young people. This is an opportunity for you to be a contributing voice in the selection of participants for the next cohort of the programme and develop their interpersonal skills.
Diversity of thought and experience supports them in making fair and consistent decisions and therefore they welcome applications from individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds.
