Coram Voice and NYAS Consultation

Coram Voice have launched a consultation alongside National Youth Advocacy Service (NYAS) to hear from care experienced children and young people on some of the recommendations from the Independent Review of Social Care, including discussion around advocacy, Independent Visitors and care experience as a protected characteristic. A protected characteristic is a right not to be given an unfair disadvantage because of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation.

In order to find out about what young people think, they have designed a survey for individual young people to complete: https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/GG15QY/

They are holding online workshops for you to attend.  These workshops are on advocacy, independent visitors and care experience as a protected characteristic. There will be one on each for children in care aged 11-17 and for care leavers 18-25.
